Personality: Bubba is a sweet, gentle dog who has come a long way since arriving in care. He started with very little, but he learns quickly, tries hard, and truly wants to please. Bubba is sensitive, affectionate, and deeply loyal once he trusts you.

He’s incredibly trainable and has already made huge progress with his house training—he rarely has accidents as long as he’s let out regularly. He’s learning to use bells at the door, whether by intention or happy tail-wag accidents! He also responds immediately to a raised voice, showing how eager he is to understand what’s being asked of him.

Since his surgery, Bubba has become calmer, less focused on marking, and more settled in the home. He’s picking up good habits (and some silly ones!) from the resident dog, who he gets along with wonderfully. He loves other dogs and does great with new people.

Bubba is still working on leash skills, especially around squirrels and bunnies—his prey drive is strong—but with patience and consistency, he’ll get there. Despite his interest in chasing small animals, he’s a big teddy bear at heart and just wants love, stability, and a family that sees his potential.
